Jeffrey Fouche-Camargo, DNP, APRN, WHNP-BC, CPCHE

I am a nurse scholar, educator, curriculum designer, and academic leader whose work is grounded in a unitary and caring view of human beings. I believe people are whole, relational, and continually evolving in connection with their environments, and that nursing and education can create conditions for health, learning, equity, belonging, and human flourishing.

I am the Founding Director of the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Program at Antioch University, where I lead curriculum development, program innovation, assessment and evaluation, and doctoral nursing education grounded in health equity, social justice, and learner-centered education.

I also serve as adjunct faculty at the University of Saint Joseph and Walden University, teaching and mentoring graduate and doctoral nursing students. Across these roles, I remain deeply engaged in advanced nursing education, doctoral scholarship, advanced pathophysiology, gender-related health, professional formation, and the preparation of nurses to lead meaningful change.

My areas of expertise include nursing curriculum design, competency-based education, program assessment and evaluation, nursing theory, evidence translation, implementation and improvement science, systems leadership, health equity, reproductive and gender-related health, and human sexuality.

I approach human sexuality from a sex-positive, evidence-based, inclusive, and non-pathologizing perspective. I understand sexuality as an integral dimension of human health and well-being, encompassing agency, consent, pleasure, relationship, identity, embodiment, and diversity. I believe education and healthcare should create space for people to engage with sexuality without unnecessary shame, stigma, coercion, or judgment.

My teaching and scholarship are shaped by caring, intentionality, curiosity, equity, diversity, inclusion, belonging, and the belief that knowledge becomes most powerful when we can see connections among people, ideas, environments, and systems.

At the center of my work is a simple idea: connection changes what becomes possible.
